Our Philosophy
Embracing the Art and Advancing the Science of the Automobile
We set ourselves apart from the ever-growing field of restorers and modification shops by following a simple philosophy which, for reasons we can't explain, seems to be relatively unique. No matter what we do, we make sure every step of the way - not to mention the finished product - is created with respect for the past, the present, and the future.

You would think that would be a pretty commonplace thought process, but it seems to us that the majority of vintage cars being restored these days fit one of two molds. The rarer and more pedigreed models get over-restored to the point where their price tags demand that they get imprisoned in a museum or a private collection which bears striking resemblance to one. Here, they may never see the light of day again, let alone allow their owners the unique pleasure of a ride around the block. The lowlier types get chopped, channeled, Frenched, bored out, bagged, and otherwise deformed to the point where they are no longer recognizable to any but a well-trained eye. Both of these extremes suit certain tastes, but our approach is directed at a different mindset.

Out of respect for the past, we maintain the art so many designers put their hearts and souls into so that they can continue to delight generations to come. Out of respect for the present, we do make a few changes elsewhere. We believe that the art of the automobile is a timeless one, but the science of it is ever-evolving. However, the real difference we make is with respect for the future. We rarely if ever make changes that cannot be undone with hand tools or a paint job, and we do so to ensure that future restorers may, if they wish, return our cars to pure originality without putting them "under the knife." That in mind, we make our improvements in areas where modern advancements have made leaps and bounds, as well as those in which the original design was lacking for reasons of budget, technology, or volume-production feasibility.

The recipe is always the same, but the finished examples come in every flavor, from European sport and luxury to American power and presence. Ultimately, our goal is to create a vision of what the designers and engineers of every car we build would have done with unlimited technology and funding - and we accomplish it by embracing the art and advancing the science of the automobile.
