We
endeavor to use factory components specific to the make we are
restoring whenever possible. Where other restorers simply source a
replacement and install it, we go one step further, looking at all
similar components produced by the same company from the date of the
car's original manufacure to present. We make our selection based on
the belief that the car can benefit most from improvements made using
components designed by the same engineers. Of course, if nothing from the factory seems
right, we find the right part regardless of the source - or make it
ourselves if nothing meets our standards.
One
of the most common problems with an older car is rust, the inevitable
formation of iron oxide which plagues all but the lucky few. Typical
rust removal involves a combination of hard work and very toxic
chemicals; here again we distinguish ourselves from the rest. Our
process involves a proprietary organic, environmentally friendly
rust removal product which completely eradicates the dangers of harsh
chemicals. Better for the earth, and better for us! Plus, as an added
bonus, it works more effectively than any chemical product we've tested.
Additionally,
we believe that the most effective way to deliver our brand of luxury,
performance, and style at a reasonable price is to maintain a network
of the best and brightest specialists in the restoration and
modification trade. To that end, when our projects call for specialized
equipment or facilities, we utilize our network of
specialists to keep costs down for our customers. Custom machining is
done off-site, as is final paint application. Those processes simply
involve too much special equipment for us to
dabble in. Leaving that work to specialists who deal in nothing else
allows us to take advantage of their volume of work and get top-notch
results at very reasonable prices.
As for us, we break our craft down into five major categories. Please read on to learn more.
